WW1 German Death Card Sterbebild Typhus Cournai France 1915

WW1 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army War Soldat Sebastian Zacher , 20 Bavarian Reserve Infantry Regiment.

Died from Typhus 25 February 1915, in a military hospital in Froyennes by Cournai, France. He was 23.

Single page single sided card measures about 2.5 x 4.25 inches. Back has Jesus with a soldier.

German Graves Registration has him buried in the cemetery at Vladslo, Belgium.

Very good condition.

WW1 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Landwermann Peter Waldinger, 1 Jaeger Bataillon Freising.

Died 25 January 1915, in the hospital in Wyme, from being shot in the head.. He was 37.

Good photo wearing a covered Jaeger helmet

Single page single sided card measures about 2.5 x 4 inches. Back has Jesus with a soldier.

Includes a German Graves Office slip listing him as killed by Vimy and buried in a mass grave in St. Laurent Blangy, France.

Used condition with a couple nips.

WW1 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Landwehrmann Kaspar Waninger, 2 Company 13 Infantry Regiment.

Killed 16 November 1914 in the fighting by Beauchotte not far from St. Mihiel through a mortar. He was 31.

Single page single sided card measures about 2.5 x 4.25 inches. Back has an angel with a soldier.

Includes a German Graves Office slip listing him as buried in St. Mihiel, France.

Used condition.

WW1 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Pionier Georg Weingartner, 1 Landwehr Pionier Company 13.  Woodworker from Weiding.

Was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Class and the Military Service Cross with Swords.

Shot in the neck and head and was killed 8 February 1916.  He was 31.

Single page single sided card measures about 2.5 x 4.25 inches. Back has Jesus with a soldier.

Includes a German Graves Office slip listing him as buried in Billy Montigny, France.

Very good condition.

WW1 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Unteroffizier Johann Weiss,  12 Company 2 Reserve Infantry Regiment.  Woodworker.

Was awarded the Iron Cross and the Military Service Cross 3rd Class with Swords.

After 10 months true service, he was killed  in Zielberg, 16 June 1915. He was 29.

Single page single sided card measures about 2.5 x 4.25 inches. Back has a knight.

Good condition.

WW1 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Vizefeldwebel Wolfgang Weiss, 21 Bavarian Reserve Infantry Regiment.  Farmer’s son from Arndorf.

After 44 months service, he died in the hospital in Mons, 11 September 1918. He was 26.

Double page single sided card measures about 4.5 x 5.5 inches. Back has Jesus appearing to a soldier.

German Graves Office lists him as buried in a Vladslo, Belgium.

OK condition.

Killed by shrapnel, 17 February 1916.  He was 31.

Single page single sided card measures about 2.5 x 4.25 inches. Back has Jesus with a soldier.

The German Graves Registration lists him as being killed  by Beaurains and buried in a mass grave in St. Laurent Blangy, France.

Good condition.

Killed during the difficult fighting by a mortar, 4 June 1917, by Arras.. He was 22.

German Graves Office lists him as being buried in Neuville St. Vaast, France.
