WW1 Death Cards 6

 

WW1 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Ersatz Reservist Joseph Adam, 15 Bavarian Reserve Infantry Regiment.

Killed in battle along the Somme, 27 October 1916.  He was 29.

The back of the card has a rendering of Mary.  The single page, single sided card measures about 2.5 x 4 inches.

German Graves Office lists him as buried in a mass grave in St, Laurent Blangy, France.

One small, slight age spot.

WW1 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Unteroffizier Georg Hastreiter, 4 Company 6 Bavarian Infantry Regiment. From Seugenhof.

Killed in the combat by St. Quentin, 5 October 1918  He was 27.

In the photo as an NCO, he wears a 3 place ribbon bar.

Double page, single sided card measures about 4 x 5.5 inches.

Includes a German Graves Office slip listing him as buried in the cemetery in Flavigny le Petit, France.

Carried condition.

WW1 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Soldat Albert Laschinger, 8 Company 17 Reserve Infantry Regiment.  Master shoe maker from Hunderdorf.

Killed 28 March 1916.  He was 35.

The back of the card has a rendering of angels with a soldier.  The single page, single sided card measures about 2.25 x 4 inches.

Includes a German Graves Office slip listing him as buried in Haubourdin, France.

The 17 RIR was engaged in Flanders - Artois on 28 March 1916.

Good condition.

WW1 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Infantrymann Johann Steger. From Ried.

Killed by Peronne, France, 25 September 1914.  He was 23.

The back of the card has sepia tone bible and heart.  The single page, single sided card measures about 2.2 x 4 inches.

German Graves Office slip lists him as killed by Foucacourt and buried in a mass grave in Vermandovillers, France.

Used condition.

WW1 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Infantrymann Karl Frisch, 6 Infanterie Regiment. Master carpenter’s son from Lam. 

Received a difficult wound to the stomach, 2 September 1918, and died at the field hospital.  He was 21.

Nice uniform photo sitting on a stone wall.

Double page single sided card measures about 4 x 5.25 inches. Back of card has Jesus with a soldier.

Includes a German Graves Office slip listing him as buried in St. Quentin, France.

Excellent condition.

Killed in France, 24 October 1914. He was 24.
