Army Wehrpass for Edgar Schaefer, born 6 February 11893, Berlin.  He was married and a self employed salesman.

The Wehrpass was started in Berlin, 5 July 1937.

He completed  Realschule and learned English in school.

He had a driver’s license for cars.


He underwent his military induction physical, 5 July 1937, and was classified Landwehr I.  He had a subsequent physical 9 October 1943, and was classified Landwehr II.  He never was called to serve in WW2.

Shows his WW1 promotions to Gefreiter, 10 June 1916, Obergefreiter, 20 December 1916 and  Unteroffizier, 28 November 1917.


He was awarded the Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer 1 March 1935.

The Wehrpass is inside a black leahterette slipcover with the swastika rubbed away.


The Wehrpass is in very good condition.
