Army  Wehrpass for Otto Wucherer, born 25 December 1908, Witten.

The Wehrpass was started 21 February 1940, when Wucherer reigstered for military service.   He was married.

Page 4 lists the address of his wife in Witten.





On page 5, he underwent a physical exam, 21 February 1940, and was classified Ersatz Reserve 1.

The first active duty listing was for 2 Company Infantry Ersatz Batl. 2, 20 June 1942.



Page 12 lists he was with 2 Company Infantry Ersatz Batl. until 11 Sept. 1942.  From 11 Sept. 1942 to 29 Sept. he was with 1 Feld Ersatz Batl. 61-5.  From 30 Sept. to 5 November 1942, he was with 5 Feld Ersatz Batl.  From 6 November 1942 to 28 Feb. 1943, he was with 6 Grenadier Regiment 3.  From 1 March 1943 to 28 April 1943, he was with recuperating units.  From 29 April to 15 Sept. 1943, he was back with his previous unit, 6 Grenadier Regiment 3.

He received training on rifle 98, light Machine Gun 34, Handgrenade 24 and Pistol 08;

On 20 June 1943, he was serving in the homeland.  From 6 November 1942 to 29 January 1943, he participated in the Russia- North campaign, with 6 Grenadier Regiment 3 (21 Infantry Division, 18 Armee).  5 May 1943, he is listed as a part of Army Group North, until 15 September 1943.

29 January 1943, he is listed as having an injury to both lower legs.


15 September 1943, he is listed as missing in the field.

He was promoted to Gefreiter, 1 February 1943





He was awarded the Black Wound Badge, 14 May 1943.  He was awarded the Infantry Assault Badge, 18 July 1943.
