WW1 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Gefreiter Alois Wurzer, 3 Batterie 3 Foot Artillerie Regiment.

Shot in the head and killed, 31 March 1916.  He was 29.

The back of the card has an angel with a soldier.  The double page, single sided card measures about 5.5 x 4.25 inches.

Very good condition.

WW1 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Infantrymann Johann Zoelch, 1 Company 7 Bavarian Infanterie Regiment.  

After 30 months true service, he was killed 12 March 1918.  He was 27. 

The back of the card has Jesus.  The double page, single sided card measures about 5.5 x 4.5 inches.

Very good condition.

German Death Card (Sterbebild) for WW1 Army Generalmajor Hugo Wilhelm Freiherrn von Lederer.

Born in Kronstadt 9 September 1857 and died in Linz am Donau, 6 July 1939.

Real photo glued to card.

The back of the card has Mary and baby Jesus.  The double page, single sided card measures about 6 x 5.5 inches.

Promoted to Generalmajor 1 August 1917 and retired 1 January 1919.

Very good condition.

WW1 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Generalmajor Jakob Pfluegl, Stellvertrater Generalkommando III Armee Korps.

Komtur and Knight of high Orders.

Had a brain stroke and died in Nuernberg, 23 January 1917.  He was 61.  He was buried January 29 in Viechlach

The back of the card has a rendering of an angels with a cross.  The single sided card measures about 5.25 x 2.25 inches. 

A rust stain at the bottom.

WW1 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Pionier August Altmannshofer. From Thalham.

On 25 June 1916, he was wounded in the foot and died 28 June, in the hospital in Beuerl by Bonn. He was 34.

The double page, single sided card measures about 5.5 x 4.5 inches. The back has an angel with a soldier.

German Graves Office lists him as buried in Beuerl by Bonn.

Good condition.

WW1 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Soldat Rupert Zimmermann, 9 Company 7 Bavarian Reserve Infanterie Regiment. Farmer’s son from Edt.

After 15 months in a POW camp, he died in the hospital in Nantes, France, 25 August 1916.  He was 23.

The back of the card has Jesus with a soldier.  The single page, single sided card measures about 2.5 x 4.25 inches.

Includes Graves Registration Office slip listing him as buried in Nantes Boutellerie, France.

Very good condition.

Killed in the enemy land by Arras, France, 3 October 1915.  He was 24.
