WW1 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Reservist Ambros Weger,  5 Company 2 Infantry Regiment.  From Oberwambach. 

Killed on the field of honor by Fresnes, France, 2 October 1914.  He was 30

The back of the card has a rendering of an angel with a soldier.  The single page, single sided card measures about 2.5 x 4.25 inches. 

Includes a german Graves Office slip listing him as killed by Fresnes and buried in a mass grave in St. Laurent Blangy, France.

In good condition.

WW1 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Gefreiter Lorenz Nitzl,  6 Bavarian Reserve Division.

Was awarded the Military Service Cross with Crown and Swords.

Died in a field hospital, 6 July 1916.  He was 25.

The back of the card has a crucifix.  The single page, single sided card measures about 2.5 x 4.5 inches. 

German Graves Office lists him as buried in Wavrin, France.

In excellent condition.

WW1 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Soldat Anton Mitterer, 12 Company 24 Infantry Regiment.

Killed 29 October 1915.  He was 23.

The back of the card has an angel with a soldier.  The double page single sided card measures about 4.5 x 5.5 inches. 

German Graves Office lists him as killed by La Folie and buried in a mass grave in St. Laurent Blangy, France.

Good condition.

WW1 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Infantrymann Johann Ruhland, 9 Company 6 Bavarian Infantry Regiment.    From Sinzendorf.

Sot in the throat and spinal cord, 15 April 1918.  He was 22.

The back of the card has a rendering of Mary with a soldier.  The double page single sided card measures about 4 x 5.5 inches.

Very good condition.

WW1 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Soldat Max Thalhammer, Bavaraian Reserve Infantry Regiment.

After 30 months service, he was killed on the battlefield in France by being shot in the chest and head, 22 April 1917.  He was 27.

The back of the card has Jesus with a soldier.  The double page, single sided card measures abou 5 x 4.5 inches.

German Graves Office lists him as buried in Salome, France

In very good condition.

Was awarded the Bavarian Military Service Cross 3rd Class  and the Iron Cross 2nd Class.

He was killed 13 April 1918, by Mesnil St. Georges.  He was 32.

He wears the Military Service Cross ribbon in the photo.

The back of the card has a rendering of Jesus with a soldier.  The single page, single sided card measures about 2.5 x 4.25 inches.

Shot in the head in Champagne, 18 August 1916.  He was 29.

The back of the card has a color rendering of an angel with a soldier.  The single page, single sided card measures about 2.5 x 4.5 inches. 

Includes a German Graves office slip listing him as buried in Romagne sur Cotes, France.

OK condition.

WW1 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Infantrymann Alois Schedlbauer, 6 Company 19 Infantry Regiment. Economist’s son from Schoenserchen.

After 10 month’s true service, he was shot in the had and killed 10 September 1916.  He was 28.

The back of the card has an angel with a soldier.  The single page single sided card measures about 2.5 x 4 inches. 

Includes a German Graves Office slip listing him as buried in Ville devant Chaumont, France.
