They were in the area of St. Die on the East Front. From 13 August 1941 to 30 April 1942, he served with 2 Company Aufklarungs Abtl. 25 motorized, under the command of Panzer Gruppe 1. They were in the areas of Kessels von Uman, Kiew, Sumy, Orel, Tula.
From 27 July to 7 October 1942, he was with 1 Gen. Company Kradschutzen Ersatz Batl. 3. From 7 October 1942 to 25 January 1943, he was with Marsch Company of the same Batl. From 26 January 1943 to 5 June 1943, he was with the Stamm Company of the same Batl. 7 June 1943 to 21 July 1943, he was with Marsch Company Panzer Aufklarungs Ersatz 2. From 22 July 1943 until 30 August 1943 he was with 2 Company Panzer Aufkl. Abt. 125., under Panzer Grenadier Division 25 in Central Russia.
He had a 98 k and a light machine gun 34.
He was promoted to Gefreiter, 1 April 1942, in the field with the notation made 5 October 1943.
He was awarded the Black Wound Badge, 10 April 1942, again with the entry made 5 October 1943.
From 22 August to 30 August 1943, he was repulsing the enemy West of Wajasma. Feldpost 42075 is 2 Company Panzer Aufklarung Abt. 125.
He was shot in the armpit, 10 April 1942. with 2 Kradschutzen Abt. 25 in Russia.
On 30 August 1943, he was killed by Bujanzewo, Russia. The notation was made by 2 Company Panzer Aufkl. Abt. 125, 5 October 1943.
